Short Post Today! I am wiped out!

We had so much fun at Cedar Point today in Sandusky. We spent the entire day playing at a huge amusement park, and I didn’t even get close to riding all the roller coasters I wanted to. Everyone in my group was way too afraid to try the Dragster, and Joel wanted to drive every car, train, bumper car, etc. that he could find. We had a very relaxing ride on the huge ferris wheel, and Marc got some great photos of Cedar Point Beach when we were stopped at the top. Joel was rendered nearly speechless by the Corkscrew roller coaster. He insisted that we get wet, so we rode something called Snake Mountain Falls (maybe? if I remember right?) and we got totally soaked. Then, we paid $5 to get in a family size dryer to dry off, but then turned right around and went on the rapids ride. Wet again. Totally soaked. We tried one more wet ride – their new Shooting the Rapids ride – but it was closed. Alas! It took us a good two hours to get dry. We tried so hard to get in as many rides as we could in our one day there that we didn’t even eat lunch. We bought a couple of frozen Lemonades and then some Dippin’ Dots, but we didn’t want to slow down at all. We were so exhausted and hungry by the time we left at 6 pm, we didn’t know if we could make it to the first fast food place we could find. Joel didn’t even want to leave then. We made some great pics, and we will load those some time tomorrow.

Marc drove straight into South Bend after a quick dinner at a Burger King on the first service stop on the Ohio Turnpike. I think I am going to like Indiana. So far, it looks very pastoral and less industrial than Ohio. We met the family at the hotel; they were all waiting for us in the lobby when we got there. So sweet of them! I am excited to see Notre Dame tomorrow and to meet Jason’s fiancee. That’s all for now – we’re just about the walking dead at this point.

Later Taters!
